Has the LA River ever caught on fire because it was so foul and polluted?

Typically concrete isn't flammable... so I'm going with a big no on that one.

Gotcha. Its does sit empty much of the time.

The Cuyahoga River is famous for catching fire numerous times.

I had good times in Cleveland, we used to rob drug dealers in Hough back in the 80s to pay our tuition and fees at OSU.

Their downtown Greyhound station used to have a police station with jail.

The Mad Hatter was a funny little downtown club back in the day.

The only place in the USA to come close to being compared to Calcutta probably was NOLA after it was devastated by Katrina, a major natural disaster.

Cleveland compared to Calcutta? That is outrageous.
