Definitely Seattle. Atlanta was big in the 90's with Hip Hop/R&B.

G-Funk Westcoast hip-hop. Grunge Alternative Rock in Seattle. LA was running Hip-Hop back then.

early 90's seattle, no doubt, west coast hi hop...,

mid 90's oasis, fugees, radiohead, 2pac, biggie, wu-tang, beck -all over the place but the UK always dominates

No it wasn't.


A lot of cities had their shine in the 90's

Atlanta and NYC were big in R&B.

NYC, Philly, Houston, the Bay and LA were big in Hip-Hop.

LA was huge in Pop music.

As for Alternative, Rock, etc. cities someone else would be better at that than me.


I don't think there was a single city or region that just dominated every style of music.
