Here is my take...both cities have somewhat unimpressive skylines, but they are improved by their surroundings, in AZ with the mountains, and in WA with the sound/mountains combo. So I give a slight edge to Tacoma. Tucson is probably the more desirable place to live, although Tacoma has improved over the past decade, but that has nothing to do with this thread. Both cities are overshadowed by their States principle cities.
