I think it's fair to say there's much agreement about KC's airport. It's seriously due for a re-do.

How do you people feel about Phoenix's airport or Las Vegas's? I think both are satisfactory but not the best.

Milwaukee's is old and boring but it is very bright due to all the skylights they have in that place and it's never crowded.

I agree, however I found it very easy to navigate.

They've worked on Philly's, but I've always found it lacking for such a major city and destination...

In 2008, Phoenix Sky Harbor Int'l served nearly 40,000,000 passengers.

Sky Harbor has three terminals consisting of 121 gates. Terminal 2 with 12 gates will be replaced with a new 33-gate terminal for Southwest Airlines. Terminal 4 will add an additional concourse and improvements to its International Concourse. The Automated People-Mover (estimated cost at just over $1 billion) connecting the terminals, Rental Car Station, and the light-rail station on 44th St. is currently under construction.

Milwaukee seems very small for a city that size. But one of the reasons why is because O'Hare is only an hour or so away and it gets most of the traffic.

The same with Tucson being so close to Phoenix; however, the Tucson Int'l Airport is a nice airport nonetheless.

That could also be the same reason for San Diego since it's close to LAX. A lot people in San Diego just catch flights out of LAX instead of SAN, since the fares are sometimes cheaper, and there's more direct flights.

On the other hand, I know of many in the northern Chicago suburbs who like to fly Milwaukee to avoid the crowds/hassle/delays of O'Hare!

Would El Paso TX qualify as a major city? It's in the top 25, and when you combine its population with neighboring Juarez Mexico, there are about 2 million people in proximity to the airport. Yet, it's a single terminal airport. The last time I was there, on a shuttle bus, right before getting dropped off, the bus driver casually mentions that a bull snake is slithering across the road from the parking area through the main loop. I had to do a double take, but sure enough, there's a huge snake approaching the curbside baggage check in next to American Airlines.
