Most of the Sac photos are very outdated or not functioning.
Sacramento had several new and flashy skyscrapers lined up, then the financial crisis hit and the property market went into a nosedive. Only one of those planned skyscrapers got built, and the others were shelved or on hold. If they were built, Sacramento would beat San Antonio by a landslide.
In all other facts, I think Sacramento trumps San Antonio easily.
Sacramento is a nice city but in no way does it trump San Antonio, not in any category. And according to Business First, San Antonio has replaced Sacramento as the 24th largest metro. Sac 2.185 and SA 2.210 as of July 2011. San Antonio's skyline should be changing soon with the Hemisfair Park redevelopment. Rumor is there will be new towering residential towers.
Metro: Sacramento hands down. So many places to go within 2 hours.
I always thought Sacramento would be the perfect place to live in regards to Northern California.
