I think Asheville NC is better than anything Florida can offer.

I'll take Florida, even though Asheville is one place and has beautiful Biltmore Gardens and mountains, Florida has beautiful cities and over a 1,000 miles of beautiful coastline.
By the way you need to be more clear on what the topic is that you want to discuss or you will get the thread closed, you need to be more specific and by the way this is City vs. City not City vs. State

What!?! Why would you pick a topic like this for a thread may I ask? Do you have some grudge about one of these places and want people to argue which is better. Do you want them to beat down one of these places just for your amusement? Am I right?

My opinion?
Asheville is an interesting little city, but it's not the Utopia it's so often made out to be.
Meanwhile, Florida is everybody's favorite Whipping Boy these days.
I don't get it, anyone that knows that state has to acknowledge that there are plenty of positives to be found there.
One thing that experience has taught me...folks looovvvve to kick a man when he's down. Just dredge up some of the posts re: Detroit, Florida, et al...

Well our beaches look better than what they have in Asheville, however the mountains are better than they are here in Florida.

Not better than Key West or Ft Lauderdale, although Asheville is a cute city

Why does Florida get so little respect on here? It's a huge and populous state with cities/metros that are really different from each other. I don't see how one can hate the entire state. Plus, the keys are awesome.
