Orlando is also a friendly city. Well at least from my experiences.

Travel & Leisure said it's Nashville, followed by New Orleans and Charleston.

So, Nashville.

I really haven't encountered a Southeastern city that I would deem unfriendly. We're just such friendly folk!

If you read the first post, it says something to the effect of "I realize not all of these cities are "big"; some are medium-sized and some are large." I would have substituted Mobile for Nashville or Knoxville if I could - but at the time I forgot about TN.

I have to agree. Same with Miami and Orlando. And although I never lived in Atlanta, I have been there many times - and despite it being MUCH LARGER than Orlando, I find the people to be much friendlier.

HAHAHA, you need to spend some time in a couple of the cities on the poll then. A couple of them may not get any votes at all.

I would have to say maybe Raleigh. Maybe from all the northerners there?? I always have found the south sorely lacking in that once famous hospitality I always heard about. Even where I live in VA I have found to be ruder than my many trips to NYC! Heck, I broke down in GA 10 years ago on my to FL to visit some relatives and everyone was nice until they found out I was from VA. One of the strangest moments of my life and actually taught me to be more aware of how I treat people from wherever they may be from.

That's very odd. I'm from GA and that sounds very weird that someone from GA would be mean to you because you're from VA. Did you do something or say something to upset them?
