Agreed. Only because of the climate, though. If you compare summer in Va Beach and Summer in Miami Beach, you don't "Blow us away"

The foilage is better ,Miami has beautiful Royal and Coconut Palms ,whereby Va. Beach has those boring palmetto palms as does North Florida Beaches, hey don't get me wrong, your beach is nice but it is no Miami Beach.

Miami's scenery is better, but all the BS you have to put up with down there gives VA Bch the nod.

I love Palmetto Palms, they're among my favorites. I've never seen Coconut Palms in my life (yet), the furthest south I've been was to Tampa which is slightly out of their range. Palms are my favorite trees, I love them all and I get to see them everyday, yeah NYC/Long Island has Palms lol. I've even seen Christmas Palms where I live.

I didn't mean to say Palmetto Palms are boring per se but in comparison to a Royal and Coconut Palms they are as I believe they are at the top of the scales of palm trees.

Its not only because of the climate. I love FL summers on the beach. Miami also has better water, waves, sand, scenery, beach vibe, etc.

And what Comsense said about what you have to deal with in Miami, who cares.. if your just there for a vacation i can care less about if the drivers are more rude, im not gonna be commuting to a job, ill be in a walkable vacation area where i can walk from my hotel room to the beach, restaurants, night life, etc. Miami beach is better than Va beach

I would say Miami Beach. It has great nightlife, great Cuban food, and a little bit better scenery than Virginia Beach in my opinion. Also, Miami Beach is warm all year long, whereas Virginia Beach is definitely not. I'd definitely pick Miami over Virginia.
