Our part of Florida is usually referred to as: South Central Florida or the Gulf/Golden Coast.
You said you lived in South Florida. I don't know why, but that's what you said.

WE already went over this...I never heard of the Miami metro area referred to as South Florida...but I see it is called that term...should be southeast Florida IMO... South Florida to ME is ANY part of Florida that is south of the midway point (lenghtwise) of the state; I use it in a geographic sense. I just do not understand the obsession with this .

Some posters were making fun of the "Northerners" voting for Philly...well I live in Florida, started this thread and voted for Philadelphia. THAT was my point...WHO CARES; can we PLEASE MOVE ON!

For example check out the climatic zones... http://www.thegardenhelper.com/hardiness.html or SOUTH WEST FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT MAP...which includes Sarasota County... http://www.swfwmd.state.fl.us/data/map/ PS: To make everyone HAPPY...SARASOTA is now moved to North Florida. Looks to me like TAMPA....and anything south of it... http://www.epa.gov/Region4/water/southflorida/images/satellitephoto.jpg (broken link) The URL "reads" south Florida.

I never said you lied nor implied it-its your source on Metro GDPs that is bogus you cannot refute that.

Yes, to save you from drowning.
