This thread was dug up out of nowhere it seems.

Anyways, it's an unusual comparison, as they're two very different buildings.

I agree with OmShahi in that Houston's Williams Tower or Heritage Plaza are more apt comparisons.

Edit. And just for clarity: Bank of America Plaza vs. Williams Tower

Chase represents power & might. Bank of America represents wealth & elegance.

Two completely different animals.

Why is this thread now in the City VS City forum, now we'll be getting so much hate from people who don't know anything about either...

Well you didn't really pick the prettiest building in Houston to compare BOA with.
It would be like comparing Wells Fargo Plaza with that cell phone looking building in Dallas. (Sorry lol, I don't know the names to many Houston and Dallas buildings, but I'm learning them as I go!)

The buildings are the tallest buildings in Houston and in Dallas, that is why I compared them.

That's true.

God, both cities really need a make over. 30 years of the same "tallest" buildings, it's an eye sore when you look at pictures from the 80's and now in the 10's, that the skyline still remarkably resembles the golden days of skyscraper booms in Texas...

Haha, I can keep on dreaming maybe one day it will be a reality.

Dallas need a make over, we need more buildings by Reunion Tower to fill in the gaps. Dallas has 1 building over 300 ft under construction in Downtown that is the Omni Dallas Convention Center Hotel and Museum tower 560 ft construction will start hopefully in late 2010.

Dallas once had the largest skyline and tallest buildings in Texas, I wish we could take the titles back but we can't.

Yeah right now the only one enjoying a skyline boom is Austin. But they kind of deserve it, with their growth and all. Those condo towers look great, like The Austonian, it looks amazing. I'm glad it's in our state and not in Chicago or NYC. It wouldn't get enough recognition in those cities.
