I literally am dying to see that 2010 census.
There is a lot of heat between San Antonio, Dallas, & San Diego. All of them can trade places. Also between Philadelphia & Phoenix, both of which can also alternate. Meaning that's 5 cities that can go one way or another out of 10.
I am also curious to see whether Chicago reports as a gain or a loss.
I'm not really a nerd, but new developments & population numbers along with skyline is probably one of my many fascinations.

If that is true then it would surge passed the 6M mark
The City should be at about 2.4M
I think the city would be more likely near 2.3 million.
As of 2008 it was 2.57 million. I don't think the city itself added 183,000, maybe the metropolitan area. But I heard it adds near 140,000 a year for the metropolitan area. Anyways, the metropolitan area will most definitely meet the 6 million mark, if it doesn't it will only be off by 15,000 at the most.
Was there a difference in growth last year?

Does anyone know when the 2010 Census DOES come out?
Yeah June 2011 the census comes out into the public. Another year or so left to go before it's official.

Yes it is the metro that added 180K. That is why I said that would push it passed 6M.
The city fluctuates on its adds from the 30's to the 50s
The 183K they are claiming is not even out yet, so it may be way off
