Also interesting to note, people are mentioning snow as a deterrent to killing people -- yet the most dangerous cities year in and year out get a lot of snow. Like: Detroit, Flint, Gary, Chicago, Cleveland, Youngstown, etc.. Are these people implying that if these cities were in the south they'd be even more dangerous? Or if somehow Russia wasn't cold as hell and snowy that it would be even more dangerous? Russia is already one of the most violent countries, can't believe if they never had snow
I disagree with your argument. Most of those cities that you have mentioned have a very high percentage of blacks. Detroit is almost at 90%. I am not saying anything that most people don't know. I am also not being a racist. I am simply going by statistics. Often cities with high percentage of minorities have high murder rates. There can be many reasons for this and we could talk about them for decades, but as for now the fact remains.
I shudder to think what the murder rates of NYC in the early nineties or Detroit now would be if they were in subtropic weather. I live in NY now and today was a beautiful day and it is so obvious when the weather breaks you begin to see many more thugs hanging out, drug dealers, prostitutes, etc.

Im not disputing that, but putting the politically correct thing aside for once. The cities with super high murder rates are often cities with a high percentage of blacks. These are facts. I would be fake, lieing, and politically correct to a serious fault if I were to act oblivious to this.
This is nowhere near my opinion, statistics over the years continue to back this up. Once again, I am not saying that there aren't underlying issues and influences that most surely contribute to this, but even so this is a fact. They know retaliation is coming, it can come in a day, a week, a month, or a year. There's simplly no expiration date when it comes to beef. There was one instance one or two years ago when someone did 10 yrs. for manslaughter and the first day he was out, was the last day of his life. Then there was the case of the Phillips brothers who had killed 15 people between them going back to the 90's. They were killed on the same exact day but not at the same time and not in the same area of the city.Bottom line is the killers' daily existence is always focused on to not get caught slipping and being prepared for a violent response from his victims' friends and loved ones.

I am not trying to stur up any racist debate. But lets face it, from facts alone, the cities witht the most percentage of black people, like Detroit which is close to 90% and almost every other city that you have mentioned have the highest crime rates. This is not my opinion, it is fact. I wouldn't think that I am going so far out on a limb by saying this.

Dekalb County, Ga. has 22 murders so far. The county averages 120-150 a year. Several years ago there was 16 police involved shootings alone in just one year. Several officers killed over a three year period. In one incident, two officers killed at same time. The county is 225 square miles, with a population of 760,000 Its located in the Atlanta, metro.
