It doesn't matter what you do for a living. You are NOT qualified to speak on this subject, and have a very well known and very negative bias against the two cities being discussed.

Totally inaccurate, overgeneralized, blanket statements provide NO information to the OP.

As opposed to you, who doesn't teach or have kids in the local school districts? You must know TONS about it...

No. YOU were talking about the actual cities. Nobody else here was, and the OP never indicated they were looking at CITY school systems.

No, we are talking about the metropolitan areas of both cities; where did the OP request that we limit the discussion to what lies within their respective city limits? In the case of either city, that would be absurd.

When I hear Tampa area or Atlanta area, I think of the cities.

I certainly know more about than you do. I have several teacher friends, and have loads of friends with children in the schools here.

You do not live here, have no interest in the place other than to bash it, and really had no intention of helping the OP. Your entire time in this thread has been spent dispensing bad information to someone seeking to move from NY. All you have contributed is falsehoods re: the schools in the Atlanta area, period.

Hardly helpful.

EEEEEEEEHHH. Wrong answer.
The city of Atlanta comprises about 10% of the metropolitan area.
The city of Tampa, less than 10%.

Well, then I just have a different opinion of what "area" means. Anyway, that's another topic.

Thank you for responding in a more respectful way than others on this thread. I respect those who answer in a less attacking way.
