That isn't as good of a thing as it seems.

Miami Beach is full of arrogant, unfriendly people. We've moved here from Chicago (because of the weather) and regret it. The people here are not only disgusting, but self loathing *******s. I'm a very friendly person and have tried to make new friends but everyone is so stuck on themselves you can't even say, "hello" to them without them looking at you like you have a flesh eating disease.

I've never been so unhappy in my entire life. I though South Beach was going to be fun, friendly and pleasant because of the lovely weather but I swear to god, I'd rather be locked in jail than to live in Miami Beach again.

The people who say "Miami is diverse" apparently haven't lived here. Most people here are South Americans. There's no diversity here. Diversity would be New York, Chicago... This place sucks and if I had the option to die or be stuck on this god forsaken island, I'd take the first.

Pros: There are a lot of pretty people here
Cons: 99.9% of them are REAL *******s.

I think there are five, maybe seven, Cubans in Miami. Oh, nevermind, they all live in Hialeah.

Yeah people are very shallow down there. Girls won't talk to you unless your sitting in a 100,000 dollar car. It's all about money and status down there. But saying it's not diverse is a silly thing to say. There are 7 countries in Central America, 12 in South America, and many other countries in the area like Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic...and many more. That's pretty diverse in its self. And if you want to see diversity Miami Beach isn't where you're going to find the bulk of it. Miami is one of the most diverse cities in the country and includes neighborhoods like Little Havana, Little Haiti, Little Russia, and Little Buenos Aires. I live near Miami and I have many different friends from many different ethnic backgrounds and different social classes. Very diverse.

This is a tough one because I'm from New Orleans but I live near Miami now.
Miami:
Much Cleaner
Beaches
More celebrities
More diverse
Much Safer
Bigger metro area
Weather is not as harsh

New Orleans:
Better food
Old and unique architecture
Mardi Gras/Bourbon Street
More interesting culture
Booming film industry
Cheaper

It's very close for me but I think I'm leaning more towards New Orleans
