Actually, I have not been to Miami in quite some time..so I'm sure you are correct. The only point I was making is that anyone who says Vegas
is not among the top in this category needs their head examined. Personally I can only take Vegas in small doses, but without a doubt rivals
any US city for 24 hour status..except for NYC..LV is head and shoulders above LA, DC, Chicago in this category. I could see Miami as an equivelent.

DC is not a 24 hour city. Can't expect that coming here.

New Orleans and Memphis.

But Vegas is the only city where at 3-6am you can actually see the streets and casinos, and clubs FULL with partiers, on ANY given weeknight. It's the only city in the US that was SPECIFICALLY built for night-life.

The major grocery stores close in Miami Beach at 11PM. I really wish they were open 24/7 like they are in Raleigh. But, I can buy Italian shoes after Midnight. Go figure???

Yeah, but Las Vegas isn't just the strip or downtown.

While yes, Fremont and the Strip are bustling at all hours, unlike the thousands of bone heads who have visited Vegas, I have actually explored the city. My best friend lives there. Talk about fee lodging! And yes, while many more places are open than usual, I have seen Ghost town, suburban like neighborhoods within the city of Vegas.

I just realized that my post sounds kind of dumb, since I bet you can walk around places in Queens that are dead at night too... But.. you know what I'm saying

meh. I've been to Vegas plenty of times, adn I have been on the strip at 3 am and have felt like the only person there. Even the Rhino has been dead on 'ANY given weeknight'.... Maybe is it because I always go there in Feb, Mar, April, May? Or what? Because I have never seen this 'buslting, partying spilling over into the streets" Vegas that everyone keeps talking about... Vegas was more like Disneyland-like than Cancun-like.

That's true spend a night in Henderson or NW suburbia and you might as well
be in suburban Phoenix. I have seen some pretty quiet parts of Vegas..
