Correct me if I'm wrong, but can anyone tell me anything special about Pittsburgh?
carniege-mellon university is certainly no dump, in the realm of academics, as it has a national reputation in theater arts to say the very least.

Maybe I can answer your question with a question: What are the main employers in Tampa Bay -- I can't think of one off the top of my head?

I'd say I did a LOT more RESEARCH and provided a larger amount of LINKS than the vast majority of threads here...such as: "have at it" or "which city has a better nightlife" or "which city has the worst neighborhoods"......relative to those types of threads this is relatively "scientific"; however it mainly comes down to people's opinions. Obviously, you have NEVER checked our VERY informative SCIENCE FORUM......pretty good information there and discussions; along with the links to try and substantiate different points of view and theories. PS...Perhaps you will start a thread for your fellow posters; that way we can see how a thread could be done in a more "scientific" fashion... ;-)

Can anyone tell me anything special about Tampa, I mean besides their world renowned call centers?

Pittsburgh FTW.

I will say one thing the City of Pittsburgh is the most beautiful city in Pennsylvania as it beats out the dirty City of Philadelphia .There was one time when Pittsburgh(BIG STEEL TOWN) was the dirtiest city possibly in the country,I love the beauty of Mount Washington that would certainly blow away anything togography wise that Tampa Bay area has,but there is beauty in the beaches of Clearwater,St. Pete,Dunedin Safety Harbor and Tarpon Springs. Both cities have beautiful skylines but I will give it to Pittsburgh as you can view the city from the hilly southbank of the city.

I would prefer to live in the Tampa Bay area because of the beautiful weather and beaches.
