thanks for all the posts so far
i would have to say the states that stand out to me are Texas, Louisiana, and Utah, all three to me feel like im in a different country sometimes
California, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Hawaii. Not many states like these 5. My MAIN reasons for picking these 5, were the fact that these states have specific regions, or cities in them, in which those specific regions are VERY different from the normal culture of other states.
Ok, so there's a city in every state that has as many cultures represented more than any other city in the country? Right, doesn't make sense...
the overall culture/lifestyle of the people in NY isn't much different from the rest of the mainland states. Hawaii and Alaska are the only states with a differnt culture. In the mainland U.S. the culture is pretty much the same anywhere, it's just divided into urban culture, rural culture and I guess beach/surf culture.

I'm talking about foreign-born immigrants. That kind of culture. The culture you find in NYS (well, mostly NYC, but obviously it's part of NY state) can't be found anywhere else.
