Yeah weird, I think it's pretty overshadowed by Stamford. Maybe cause it's closer to NYC? Right?

Sadly I'll admit Hartford seems to be little acknowledged outside of New England It's ok Hartford I still love you.
I live in San Antonio and I think all those cities are fairly well known. When I hear Rochester I think of Xerox and Kodak and Hartford the largest city in Connecticut and the insurance capital.

I stand corrected I didn't know Bridgeport was larger than Hartford, I think Hartford is more well known but I could be wrong.

I"ll never forget Greenville because it has a real live waterfall right in the middle of downtown. Y'all can see it in the lower center of the bottom photo, above below the bridge.

IMHO Bridgeport is the winner I'm pretty geographically aware and I don't think of it at all.

If you only knew how self absorbed Knoxville was you wouldn't put it on the list. I guess we are like the black hole of attention. It all gets focused inwards and nothing escapes.

By comparison, the people of bridgebort are probably thinking about New York.

I don't think anyone's mentioned Anchorage or Honolulu Also, cities like Fresno and Sacramento come to mind. I agree with Omaha and Wichita. I think Kansas City, KS gets ignored....you only really here about the Missouri side of the city....but I'm being technical, lol. Also, Little Rock, Mobile, Winston-Salem, Virginia Beach, and any city in New Jersey all get ignored.

I've been to Niagara Falls and I was amazed that there is much more there than I imagined. I just thought the Falls would be the only thing there. I'll never forget riding on the bus to cross back into the United States. Being afraid of heights and in a slow moving line, we were on the bridge for a long time. That was one of the scariest moments of my life!

...and my favorite, Niagara!!!! Very few people realize that it's a fairly large city with a nice skyline. Especially in America, where all you see are images of the falls itself...there's not much of an association with the actual city on an international level, that's for sure:
Greensboro, Winston-Salem. . . How in the world?
