Again, I'm not seeing how Dallas looks futuristic at all. No signature towers have been built in downtown since the 80's.

There is a lot more to how futuristic a city is than it's skyline. The CBD plays a much smaller role in the DFW metro than in a normal huge city.

Neither is a plain looking/bland building being built in Charlotte, Dallas, Houston or Atlanta.

They all look the same.

Yes some of the buildings are beautiful like the Empire State Building for example but most of the architecture in New York does not feel very modern. While not in the skyline, the New York subway also feels very old and rundown compared to many other transit systems in the US and other countries.

San Francisco feels more historic with its Victorian homes, cable cars, etc. It was actually one of the oldest cities in the western US. Nearby Silicon Valley does feel very modern but Dallas actually has a futuristic look.

The movie Robocop was actually filmed in Dallas in the late 70s or early 80s I believe as a stand-in for Detroit in the future and it was chosen for the futuristic architecture especially the colorful glass skyscrapers and office towers. In one scene the Reunion Tower is clearly in the background which gives away the filming location.
Actually, this was Houston. Houston has always been said to have a futuristic looking skyline. The Heritage Building in Downtown is in the center of the large skyline during the freeway chase scene in Matrix Revolutions...just like it is in real life.

EXACTLY!!!

Someone understands the concept and I believe it's Grapico.

Those pictures look very futuristic, unlike anything produced from Atlanta, Dallas, Houston or Charlotte.

I know Canada is off the radar here but I'd have to say Vancouver is the most modern looking city I've ever seen. Seems most of the city is post 1980's however it has that same homogeneous steel and glass look that Miami's skyline has.

On a world scale no place hold's a candle to Dubai! After the 1990's America started losing it's edge on futuristic infrastructure.
MARTA is better rail transit wise, but definitely not overall. For some reason, people think rail transit is the only form of public transportation.
