Many other U.S. cities could get away with putting ugly and plain skyscrapers up but Dallas cannot. Whenever they do decide to build new skyscrapers in downtown Dallas it has to have character or it could ruin the appeal of Dallas skyline.

I agree Dallas and Miami are more futuristic.
Atlanta and Houston are more of your classic skylines.

Same goes with many of the cities on this poll. Las Vegas and Miami probably are the only real contenders, followed by Charlotte and Austin.
I'd say you are Wrong.Atlanta experienced a boom so significant over the last 10 years that is why we have a "glut" of buildings now.Charlotte and Austin don't even come close.

Miami is the winner in the building category. However it has had the highest occupancy rates in America for more than a few times.Especially due to the fact that most of those empty buildings are condo towers.

Some of Atlanta's many futuristic buildings:
1180 Peachtree

This is the same building among other buildings like the Promendae and the Campanile Building

Bank of America

Sovereign and the Atlanta Financial Center

Even Atlanta suburbs are futuristic like in Marietta/Cumberland area.

I'd Say Charlotte. I mean the light rail, beautiful skyscrapers, and they wellness of the city. It's not too far inland and not terribly far away from the mountains so that should be an interesting city in the future.

Other vote goes to Miami as far as building structures.

Light rail is cool, but nothing beats a cool modern heavy rail and their stations like in Atlanta. The only city on this poll with one better than Atlanta is LA.

How in the WORLD anyone thinks light rail looks more futuristic than Heavy rail is beyond me.Especially with the wires overhead.
Light Rail:

Heavy Rail (MARTA)
