Dallas is definitely the most futuristic of these cities.
Many other U.S. cities could get away with putting ugly and plain skyscrapers up but Dallas cannot. Whenever they do decide to build new skyscrapers in downtown Dallas it has to have character or it could ruin the appeal of Dallas skyline.

I would say Dallas, or Miami. Especially these 2 cities at night. Miami at night with all the multi-colored buildings, and multi-colored lights make it look VERY futuristic.
I agree Dallas and Miami are more futuristic. Atlanta and Houston are more of your classic skylines.
It looks like this is going to be a, Sunbelt vs the North & Rust Belt , discussion(ad ignoramus)...and by the looks of it the ,OP, obviously is a Sunbelt enthusiast...have fun at recess, children.
Dallas and Houston have skylines that mostly consist of 80's built buildings. They haven't gotten a new tallest in over 20 years (since the oil boom, basically). Nothing wrong with that, but no one would call it "futuristic".
Same goes with many of the cities on this poll. Las Vegas and Miami probably are the only real contenders, followed by Charlotte and Austin.
I'd say you are Wrong.Atlanta experienced a boom so significant over the last 10 years that is why we have a "glut" of buildings now.Charlotte and Austin don't even come close.
Miami is the winner in the building category. However it has had the highest occupancy rates in America for more than a few times.Especially due to the fact that most of those empty buildings are condo towers.

I'd Say Charlotte. I mean the light rail, beautiful skyscrapers, and they wellness of the city. It's not too far inland and not terribly far away from the mountains so that should be an interesting city in the future.
Other vote goes to Miami as far as building structures.
Light rail is cool, but nothing beats a cool modern heavy rail and their stations like in Atlanta. The only city on this poll with one better than Atlanta is LA.
How in the WORLD anyone thinks light rail looks more futuristic than Heavy rail is beyond me.Especially with the wires overhead.
