"I wouldn't say Atlanta is the best but one of the best. You know what's funny because so many rappers come from Atlanta people who hate like to put all Artist in a box, lets say people don’t like D4L snap music and don’t like BME crunk music, most artist part of Grand Hustle, Dungeon family, DTP are lyrist LMAO."

No argument when it comes to volume and exposure.
Quality when it comes to lyricism, Houston has Atlanta beat on this regard. I can name all the lyrical rappers in Houston if you like, but you most likely never heard of many of them because Houston lacks that exposure. Houston's hip hop scene is known all over the world and is very popular on the West Coast.

Yeah, I was suprised to meet a few people from Portland, OR who knew just as much about A.B.N., Trae, Z-Ro, etc. as anyone I know in Houston.

Yep. All you gotta do is go to siccness.net which is a westcoast hip hop based message board and out of all the Southern cities named on there, Houston comes up on topics the most. Houston's scene is ALSO big in the midwest especially Cleveland and Milwaukee.
