What city do you think is best for people who love to stay active/fit? This doesn't just have to be in gyms, but outdoor activities, access to nutritional food, even weather among other things can be factored in as well. Thoughts?

Austin's pretty active, at least compared to a lot of the cities I've been to. Every time I go out to run or bike on the Town Lake trails, there's tons of people out.
L.A. and a lot of the cities on the West Coast are pretty athletic as well.

For outdoor activities Richmond can hold its own. Technical single track mountain biking, trail running/hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, all within a half mile of the CBD. SEAL team fitness training, huge sports/social league for kickball, broomball, dodgeball, flag football, etc... National Duathlon and Xterra both host events here. Locally there seems to be a different 10k every weekend and we host one of the Top 10 10k's in the country with the Monument Avenue 10k. Not going to say it's the best but more than deserves to be mentioned.

Pittsburgh have everything an outdoorsmen could want (Hills, Rivers, Trails all over and very Green) plus a decent healthy eating resturant sense.....But Pittsburgh is a very real city what mean about that is people their dont strive to look Models or have obessions with the gym if they gain an ounce of fat in their A**es....its Not pretentious in the least like an LA or NYC....

But this is city vs city, so NYC will probably win this like they do everything here.
