Palm trees!!

I don't think palm trees would be that sought after if they were in colder climates -- they aren't very attractive trees, they are just synonymous with "paradise".

I hate LA because I slang women like fish in a barrell anywhere else, but last time in LA I was actually asked by a girl "What kind of car do you drive?".

Needless to say I laughed and told that broad to move along.

LA also sucks since it's painted so pretty and glamourous in media, but when you go there, only a small portion is the glitz and glamour, the rest is like a mexican town.

Have you actually been here to Los Angeles? Untill you have you can't really make a statement like that. Also New York is painted the same way in the media, and yet people belive it's exactly like what they see on the media, and yet just because LA wants to look good in movie or two people think it's fake, un-real.

i was born on an island, once you've seen one palm, you've seen them all.

that aside, i'm a big fan of LA. it's a big city not in the traditional sense. get your car ready!

It's called America. America is a country where poverty exist and where you can make it rich or poor. Blaming LA for that shows your ignorance when clearly every city in America has good and bad areas it's part of a democracy, and a capitalistic society that we call the United States. There's going to be the good the bad and the ugly all the time, for as long as you live in this country. If you want a city that's 100% clean and sparkly and sterile it will never exist in America, rather a socialistic society or a communist regime.
