Maybe there should be a thread that lists all of the boosters and bashers for each city. Name a city, then who you consider to be its boosters/bashers. For example:

NYC boosters - user, user 1
NYC bashers - user 2, user 3

I'm only half kidding when I say this thread should be sticky. Then people seeking information might have a better idea on which posts to discount.

I'm opposed to the idea simply because it locks people into a role and doesn't allow them to change and evolve. Who would want to be categorized in such a way?

It doesn't matter if someone wants to be categorized that way. I mean, if there is a user that ignores or denies facts presented to them for the sake of bashing or boosting a city, I say label them respectively.

It wouldn't be practical as there would be so many Jersey-bashers that the list would crash the server.

Okay then, name some NYC "boosters" and "bashers".

This thread is a terrible idea, because it's singling people out and in a way ironic because it'll be "bashing" those people that normally do the bashing.

I really don't think this thread has a chance to survive, the mods will be all over it, because it'll create a lot of controversy.
