Movies are still made in CA. Where else has the geographic diversity to make movies?

New York actually has a film industry of it's own as well. It's second in the country after Los Angeles though.

Only to an American. But if you are foreigner, yu are probably more familiar with Hollywood then some statue in New York Harbor.
