Thanks . Right now the economy is so bad that they can't even afford new line expansions. It's probably just on the back-burner though, they might revive it in the future. I heard that they might call the line to the airport the Orange Line though, so I don't know.

I guess that's better than nothing. It still sucks to not have any real East-West movement in the Miami area though. I've always though they had one of the more attractive systems of the newer heavy rail lines.

Back to Atlanta.. Since the neighborhoods are already built around the beltline ROW; what are the chances of redevelopment along the corridor like, especially on the southern half?

Default Dart Orange Line

DART: Orange Line is back on track | wfaa.com | Dallas - Fort Worth Local News

The Orange line is actually under construction now. The last leg of the Orange line was said to be put on hold but has now been worked back into the budget.

Thank God!

I was so disappointed when it was put on hold.

Not great news for the Downtown Transit Mall. Isn't funds from the second Downtown line being rerouted to the Orange Line extension?

Part of the idea of the beltline is to reconnect the neighborhoods. There’s going to be gentrification but most it is Warehouse, brownfields and even Greenfield space. You can see the southside beltline corridor pretty clear. To see how large the brownfield space is compare to a single home lot go closer in to the homes and University Ave. Atlanta - Google Maps

These PDF has graphics of the Southwest, it's from the official site.
