I would be happy in any of them minus Philly. The only reason for that is just preference. Im not trying to bash it at all. Its a great city.
Different things about Atlanta, Houston, Philly, and DFW.
I like the natural surrounding of Atlanta the best.
If we are speaking of the city only, I like Houston the best.
If we are talking about the metro area, I like DFW the best because of Fort Worth and that it has the best burbs of the cities mentioned in my opinion.
If we are talking about urbanity, I like Philly best. But given that I grew up in a sprawled out suburb of LA, Philly is more of a city to visit to me.
I prefer the skylines of Houston and Atlanta, but I would rather live in Dallas.
The north side of Dallas all the way up past Plano is pretty much one of the best areas in America to raise a family. Think tree-lined streets with beautiful houses, nicely planned communities, really great schools, shopping and amenities all over. I can't remember exactly what was said, but I saw a really great description of it in another thread on here that mentioned the small rolling hills through some parts and how it feels so pleasant and, from personal experience, I agree that it has an extremely nice feel.
However, for yuppie living I would probably go with Houston simply because it does have some nice urban areas and has more opportunities in really exclusive professional sectors, and that's not to say that the other cities don't, but Houston is really a pillar for it in the US more than it gets credit for on here.
It would be a tie between H-Town and Philly. I like the location and weather of Houston, but I like the urban feel of Philadelphia.
