With the oil leak (and this is very unfortunate) I am not sure that you can say the Biloxi beaches will be cleaner any time soon. I hope they can stop that leak and clean up the Gulf - to wonderful of a natural asset to US and amny states to not get cleaned and ASAP.
I can only comment on Biloxi from maye 8 years ago - at that point there was no comparison on amenities compared to AC - Since then I know AC has improved dramatically and has a few Vegas quality casinos as well as many new restaurants. it sounds like Biloxi has also had some improvements but on what i understand I think it is a tough comparison.
How would NJ's water be dirtier than China's? Maybe the Newark bay or the Hudson, but Most of the ocean water along NJ's coast is pretty clean, especially the more south you go in the state. Why people consist on bashing NJ for fun, I don't know.. bored?
Biloxi doesn't get much attention. Vegas and AC are usually the two main gambling cities people refer to. Biloxi lacks a lot of what AC offers.
I don't think Atlantic City compares to Las Vegas at all. AC is mostly gambling, while Vegas is all about the themes in the different hotels, the shows and the buffets. AC is clearly mostly gambling while Vegas offers a diverse scene. I don't know how Biloxi is, but Atlantic City completely pales vs. Las Vegas. The beach in Atlantic City can't compare with other East Coast beaches like Ocean City, MD, Virginia Beach or the Outer Banks.

Orly , when's the last time you were there , may i ask?
I have been to all of the locations mentioned. Each has its own unique advantages and shortcomings and it all depends on what is best for you. Biloxi is great but you have to wade into the water about a mile to get deep enough to swim. The beaches are everywhere and the sand is beautiful. Vegas has lots of entertainment and tons of casinos. It is a must see if you have never been there. It lacks a certain amount of class and has a corporate feel to it. I would avoid the desert in the summer, it is unbearable. I really liked Reno, it is near lots of other great places to see and is very laid back. Atlantic City is , for me, is the best place to visit. It is within driving distance of my home and inexpensive to get to (except for tolls on the interstate). The beaches in the area are very under utilized and the fishing is excellent. There are enough casinos to keep things interesting. The shows are OK but be prepared for entertainers who have some gray hair. It cannot compare to the shows found in Vegas. Hotels are very expensive on Friday and Saturday nights but very reasonable on weekdays. The city has improved a great deal, but does have a few areas which are unsafe and are best left unexplored. The city is far safer than many would care to admit and has made a comeback in recent years. The one thing they all have in common is that I seem to lose money at all of them. I guess someone has to pay for the electric bill.
