SF/Seattle are interchangable in my book, depending on how I feel any given day. Never been to Pittsburgh, but based on pictures I've seen on this site it's well below the other two.

SF's fog shroud in the summertime is one of most beautiful naturally occuring events on earth. IMO.

It is quite beautiful / unique -- however having grown up in SF, I always hated it because it made the City frigid...

Great pics! The water, greenery, and mountains in the background reminds me a bit of Oakland! In a good way, not bad. LOL.

The western cities having snow-capped mountain ranges and massive bodies of water as backdrops sure doesn't hurt. Even so ,I still think Pittsburgh can hold its own against them when it comes to natural beauty due to the mountains/rivers/bridges framing the city in such a interesting and unique way.

Also notice that many of the pictures in this thread are taken from vantage points that people don't see in their day-to-day existence in the cities. I've never been to San Fran and Seattle so I don't know how they compare, but the scenery from the ground-level in Pittsburgh is pretty cool. There's so much green and trees all around you unless you're in one of the super-dense neighborhoods like Bloomfield.
