I think the terminals are in Grapevine and the rental car terminal is in Euless, but I could be wrong. However, I do know that not one inch of the airport is in Dallas.

None of the airport is in Dallas. Some of it is in Fort Worth, IIRC.

It is, but the cities share joint control of it.

Really? I thought Grapevine, Irving, Coppell, and Euless shared control of the airport?

No. The BOD is comprised of members chosen by the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. Dallas and Fort Worth are considered the "owner cities" of DFW.

They have a Board of Directors, what that does is it enables peace between the smaller suburban cities when it comes to control over the airport. There are periods of times when the members are rotating, meaning one city's member has control for a direct short period of time until it is passed on to another member.

Dallas and Fort Worth have long resolved the dispute over the airport.

Fort Worth is certainly making a lot of headway. It has more authentic Texas charm than Dallas. It will be interesting to see how much Fort Worth will compete with Dallas in say 50 years. Like Minneapolis and St. Paul, Dallas and Fort Worth work well together which gives it an edge on Houston.
