Ohio248, San Jose a giant suburb and creamed by Philly? Are you kidding? First, Philly is the second ugliest city in the U.S., according to Travel Leisure magazine, and secondly, San Jose has a nice downtown and a vibrant one. Please check out San Jose before you blab you finger.

San Jose is an alright place to live, but there is no way in hell that it's got more to see and do than Philly--one of the most historic cities and one of the densest downtown districts in the country. Sorry--and this coming from someone who grew up 30 minutes from San Jose and spent a lot of time there--there isn't all that much to do there besides go to San Jose Sharks games and eat some good Asian food. And San Jose's skyline is bested by Portland, OR let alone Pittsburgh...

absolutely, positively, NOT. NO.WAY. Pittsburgh has one of the, if not the, most beautiful skylines in the nation. Ever been to the top of Mt. Washington?

This. I think Chicago's is prettier, but Pittsburgh's is incredibly beautiful.

Houston... Underrated?

However, I'm glad to see Providence up there.

Chicago's is great, but I put Pgh's ahead only because of the vantage point you get from Mt. Washington. If there's an equivalent in Chicago, I'd be interested, I'm thinking the only way to see the whole skyline is going to the top of a building (and you still can't really see it in its glory) or by helicopter? They should build something in Lake Michigan to see the whole thing! LOL

Yeah, it's certainly true that there aren't any good hills in Ole Chicago to see the whole city, BUT, if you're ever fortunate enough to be out on a sailboat in Lake Michigan it's a pretty sweet view. Alternatively, the view from the Alder Planetarium gives you quite the view.

Total homer opinion here but Richmond is so underrated it doesn't make top 10 underrated lists. Maybe I shouldn't complain... I wouldn't want our Class IV rapids and single track mtb trails to get cluttered up with noobs.

Who's ever heard of that worthless rag? Philly is anything but an ugly city. I don't even know what the hell "ugly city" means, but I know Philly isn't it.
