Denver is boring. What "we have here" isn't actually here. It's the mountains, and it's not really even a part of the metro area. "Here" is flat, treeless, dry, boring, vanilla, generic, middle America.
It's the kind of place you come to raise a family--or maybe use as a homebase for year-round explorations of the mountains. Take away the mountains and Denver is Indy or Kansas City, nothing more or less. And, frankly, I think the combination of a liveable, family-friendly city and the beautiful mountains is what makes Denver a nice place to live.

I've seen photos of DT Denver. I refuse to believe it's "just the mountains". It's more than you're giving it credit for. Kansas City isn't bad either, sooo.
Are we talking about boring to residents or visitors/tourists? If we are talking about residents, I would argue if you have a job getting bored in a city is harder than if find yourself looking for one. I will admit it Im a work aholic and been fortunate enough to have very interesting challenging jobs.
Tampa's underrated. I know it's known for it's sprawl and "typical" Florida burbs, but it has plenty of older neighborhoods with older housing(and some newer neighborhoods):

I am convinced that you cannot live in Denver!!! Most of the stuff you post is so off base!!! You get called out all the time on how wrong you are!!! What can you do in say Houston that you could not do in Denver? Or any metro for that matter??? Denver has the BEST beer scene in the nation by far! LoDO is great for clubbing. We have All major sports. The best outdoor concert venue on earth. A great art/theatre/museum district. We punch well above most of the 2-4 million metroes!
How many people have even been to the 50 largest to even give an honest ranking?
