NOW there are some true colors coming out on this forum. I wonder how many people who visit this forum are as well traveled as they claim to be?
I'd go to any city just to check it out/but obviously avoid the higher crime areas. Why do you need desire to see a place? Just be well traveled so you can
I can have a fun time in any of these cities, and I think ever city is worth a visit. But I voted for the city that appeals less to me, Oklahoma City. Maybe just because its not mentioned much.
I'd go anywhere given the opportunity, but there are some places that just don't interest me. These are places that I wouldn't just get up and go to just to go.
I've been to all of the cities mentioned and frankly would go back to any of them. Sure some are more "exciting" than others, but all of them had some redeeming quality. I would just choose which ones to visit based on the time of the year. Phoenix in the Summer is just way too hot for me, but other times of the year is fine for an example.
I can really only think of one city in the US that I have been to and have no desire to revisit and that is NYC. Too darn busy and crowded for my tastes.
Hawaii - I guess yea i have desire, but even tho its a state, I've always viewed Hawaii as International, like the Bahama Maui Jamaica Vacation destination...Plus what kills alot of the Hawaii desire is its the Most Expensive of the "Vacation Islands" to go to and the flights from the East Coast are insanely long, so I've always been satisfied by alternatives.
New Orleans - Call me crazy I just never had the desire to visit the South...No NOLA, No ATL, No TX...just doesn't excite me.
I agree that besides the places you named, there are much more interesting cities to visit outside the U.S., especially in Europe.
On this list, the only cities that really interest me are LA and Portland (OR).
While any new city can be interesting, I have little desire to spend time and money on places such as Atlanta, Phoenix, Tampa, etc. I don't really have anything against them; there are just other places that I'm much more interested in..

Exactly...I would go anywhere in Europe. Nowhere in this country can compare to there. That's why I'm saying most of this country doesn't interest me. There are a few places I want to go in the US, but for the most part, I'm content with how much I've traveled the country. I'm spending the next few years of my life traveling outside the US.
