Lurker here finally registering!
Dunno if I can really post this here but perhaps somebody will know someone to whom this would be of interest. To help make ends meet so I can stay in school rather than drop out to pay the bills, I wish to rent out my master bedroom. It's a 15x12 room with private entrance to the back deck and full bath.
I do have a 1 year old, so my biggest issue is finding a safe person to rent to. This is a very nice neighborhood with good people in it in South Knoxville off of John Sevier Hwy, making it very accessible to Alcoa Hwy, Chapman Hwy, UT Campus, etc. Anyone who might be interested should know that I will have to perform a background check just to make sure there's nothing major on their history, and that my brother in law who is a police officer lives just a few minutes away (so trying to sneak drugs in wouldn't be the smartest thing in the world).
My little one is in daycare from 10-5 while I'm in school and goes to bed around 8. Your privacy and space would be respected, you can do your thing and we'll do ours. That's the reason behind renting the room with a private entrance and bath. House rules are common sense. Anything illegal I won't let come within a hundred feet, and show good judgement about who you bring into the house or anything else in general. Otherwise, realize I'm not the stereotypical frumpy mom. We jam to top 40's. I go dancing Saturday nights when the little one is spending the night at the father's place. I am a realist and we have fun with life.
