My mom is trying to find her birth certificate and she can't find it question she doesn't know if she even has one she was born in Mexico and it was in a home by a midwife i think so she doesn't know if they even have made a birth certificate.Where can she start looking?Anyone know

I would contact the US Consulate in Mexico and find out where the birth certificates are housed in each state? It might be the Health Department or a court or even the local church. You might need your mother's full name at birth and the fulll birth date. In my county in the US, births were not required by law to be registered prior to 1916.
