We need your help to save a beautiful and historic landmark house in Spencer, TN. This two story house with wrap around porches and big trees on 2 acres is in need of repairs. It looks and is very original with 10 ft ceilings downstairs and 9 ft ceilings upstairs. The interior oak trim, mantels, and stair case has original varnish finish in good condition. Some interior walls need covering and painting or wallpapering. The roof shingles are due to replace. A few windows need replacing and some exterior lap siding needs replaced on the kitchen. The whole house has recently been rewired to the current electrical codes. It has a full bath and also a utility room with a half bath. It sits atop a gentle hill with views all around. This is my brother and I's homeplace with many sentimental memories and local history. We are out of funds to finish restoration and need some help from someone (perhaps a retired couple) that would be willing to live in the house while they help with repairs, or that would pay some rent to help finance repairs.
