My husband and I have lived in Madison, OH (about 50 minutes east of Cleveland) for the past 2 years and are planning on locating closer to the city in a few months. I just can't make a decision about where to settle. We are both 29 years old, have no kids (and aren't planning to for a couple more years so schools are not a big factor). My husband is in sales with an Eastside Cleveland territory and I am a hairstylist, planning to change jobs to wherever we relocate. We both like dining, sports, arts, music, and nightlife. I would really love to be able to walk to entertainment. Right now the main areas we are considering are Cleveland Heights, Ohio City, Tremont, and Downtown. We have lived in Cleveland Heights before and really liked it, other than the difficulty in getting there ie. no good freeway access. We would be willing to go back though. We also lived in Mentor and really disliked it. Does anyone have any opinions to offer as far as that or the other neighborhoods go? What they are like to live in, safety, other concerns? Or maybe a suggestion about another neighborhood? We really can't go much further west then the afformentioned areas due to my husband's job. Thanks so much in advance for any input!
