Relocating to Cleveland..my husband will be working in Independence...we are looking for a historic town with a charming downtown, good schools, walk to shops and library kind of place. What other towns to consider other than Chagrin Falls? He is willing to commute upto 45 mins.

Haha, Chagrin Falls was the first thing that popped to mind.

I'd also add Aurora, Hudson, Medina, Oberlin, Elyria, and Willoughby.

I'd look for a place in Independence... low taxes, good schools, simple commute, and very walkable. There aren't a ton of shops in the downtown area, but there's plenty of stuff on Rockside Road.
