My husband will be accepting a promotion with his company and we will be relocating to cleveland. He works for Eaton corp. His physical place of work will be a Eaton plant in Berea, Oh. We have a 6 year old daughter. Need feedback on family friendly neighborhoods to stay with good schools at a commutable distance from berea. I lost my job in healthcare last year. My background is research and science. Might target cleveland clinic and case western for jobs. Considering all this where would be a good location for us to look for houses. Thanks in advance.

Stongsville, Olmsted Falls or Berea itself; maybe Fairview Park.

North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls, Westlake, Strongsville, Rocky River... you really have a lot of choices to be close to Berea. And as Kamms said, Berea would also be a great choice itself.
Anything other things you'd prefer in a city?

Rocky River. Look for houses north of Detroit Rd. ($250K - $400K range) in what they call Beachcliff II and North of Lake Rd. if you got enough for a house over $400,000 (they call this area Tangle town or Beachcliff I)
