I am graduating college this June, and hoping to relocate back to Cleveland. I have lived on the East Side all my life, and would like to stay close to where my friends and family are. I'd like to live in the city though, if possible. Are there any places on the East Side that are relatively safe for a 20 year old white male? I am not poor, but not rich, so could not afford to live in a place like Uptown or anything like that. Any advice for me?

Shaker heights near shaker square is a pretty safe vibrant area. It's affordable and has great access to public transportation

Little Italy, Coventry, Cedar-Fairmount I'd recommend checking out right off the bat.

I'll throw in Cedar-Lee as well, though that may be too far east.

It's not much farther east than Shaker Square. It's an under-recognized area. It's good that you pointed it out.
