I've looked, but don't see anything recent.

I may be relocating to Cleveland.

Here's my demographic...

Male
51
Single
Income: $250k+
Graduate degree.

I am looking to rent before buying. Am from NYC, Chicago and CT suburbs. No family...I don't need a big house. On the other hand, I do want a really nice condo/apartment in a nice area (restaurants, etc.). Also want to be in a place where I can meet single women with whom I'll have something in common.

Where do I go?

Many, many thanks!!!

Cleveland is your oyster with that kind of income.

Personally, I would suggest downtown living for a single dude making that kind of scratch. How do you feel about living in such an urban setting?

This screams Lakewood, Downtown or Cleveland Heights. Maybe even University Circle/Little Italy.

Have you seen any of the homes at 27 Coltman from the inside? I think the outside is amazing but was a little underwhelmed when looking inside one of the townhomes. It just wasn't as chic as one would expect and seemed a bit hard to justify those prices.

Other places that compete with 27 Coltman are Circle 118 (across the street, more or less) and Bluestone (Cleveland Heights).

Here's a good video on Circle 118, also in University Circle:

just be prepared if you buy an urban home at that price it will take a LONG time to sell. As others have mentioned you are in a higher than average income bracket so the demand is lower. In Cleveland more than any other place I have lived, people say things like "why would I spend 400,000 on a condo, when I could a McMansion with a 3 car garage in North Ridgeville?"....Not enough people have caught on to how good urban living can be in Cleveland. Not my cup of tea, but Rocky River seems like cougar town central with regard to single women (they are divorcees)

Default If I blogged here

I would , but here is a cute little story just today my granddaughter, who just turned 5 this month , who lives very southern Parma , and Grandma living Northern Parma , We began a family outing , pulling away , she said look papa you can see the city , there was great excitment in her voice ( Brookpark Road and Ridge Road, top of the hill ,has a great view of the downtown skyline) .She then said , the city is so far away , and noone knows how to get there ! I just laught , I guess a trip to the main library
downtown is in order , as did her dad when younger with me, and as a teenager bussing it from the Detroit Shoreway area .
I am glad I stayed , The Gordon Square Arts District Area is bettter then ever !
