Kent State probably has a slightly better rep than CSU, academically. Part of it is because it seems 1/2 the news/sports media are KSU almus... That said, if it were me, i'd pick CSU. CSU is on the rise, rep wise, and it's really developing a residential, college-town type campus that replaces the cold, hard commuter school heritage... CSU has plenty of prestigious alumni, too, and givne the runaway train college tuition these days, many more local kids -- many good students -- are choosing CSU... Sam McNulty is a 37-year-old, multi-millionaire owner of 3 bar/restaurants who grew up in Cleveland Heights... It seems his CSU urban studies degree didn't hurt him too bad, did it?

Kent State if ur looking to party and a more traditional college campus feel (beautiful campus). Kent State is the second largest school in the state in terms of enrollments so csu can't be compared in that regards. Kent state is ranked higher academically as stated in previous posts (CSU is not ranked). If you don't care for any of these...I would choose CSU.

P.s. One fun fact about Kent state is that its one of the worlds best fashion schools and it also has a very notable nursing program. Other notable programs like business as well but the reason for my first statement is = girls, girls, girls.
