The Chinese seem to be developing the near eastside in the past year or so. From E.24 and Rockwell through Asiatown to E.55th (see below).

I love this new video advertising Cleveland to China.

America's North Coast - Greater Cleveland Promotional Video - YouTube

"When we talk to people in China, they never heard of Cleveland," Derek Ng said. "We have to make them excited. We have to make them say, "I want to know about that city!"

So the father-son team designed a greeting. They created a video now airing on television channels that reach Macau, Hong Kong and the Cantonese-speaking regions of southern China. They created a five-minute infomercial that depicts a scenic, diverse, lakefront world.

That was really cool, although I barely understood a word of it aside from "Cleveland Clinic" and "University Hospital".

Videos advertising Cleveland to Americans ought to be this good.

I've also seen of spike in Chinese families on the side streets of Little Italy.

And I'm not talking about a Cleveland Clinic or UH doctors...I mean actual famililes with kids running around. It'll be interesting if we see a continued Chinese migration to the Eastside.
