Hey everyone,

I moved to Cleveland about a year ago I ended up liking it so much that i'm going to move here for good.

I've been staying with family in Westlake (house is literally on the border of Avon)

I decided to move closer to Cleveland (I work Downtown). My budget for rent alone is anywhere from 400-700 (I would really like to stay under 700)

I'm in my mid 20's, no pets, single. I love walkable areas. Now i've looked at some previous threads and a lot of people have said Lakewood, Ohio City, Tremont Etc.

Basically what i'm looking for two things:

1) areas to move too
2) any recommendations as far as apartment buildings, Lofts... ETC?

Thanks to everyone in advance.

Lakewood is probably your best bet. Anywhere along Clifton, Gold Coast area, or any duplexes. Many lofts are pricey and tend to be near Gordon Square. To get downtown take Clifton or Lake Road to the Shoreway. Really pretty ride.

How about Shaker Square? Easy access to the green/blue line which would take you directly downtown. Tons of restaurants, a theater, etc all within walking distance.

There's tons of large, brick apartment buildings lining Shaker Blvd, but I'm not sure what rent is like there.

The only negative would be that it borders the ghetto in certain directions. But you wouldn't have any problems if you stayed within the Shaker Square/Larchmere area and took public transit everywhere else.
