What does "more Midwest" mean?

If so, I would suggest "more American" instead, as the South actually has higher rates of obesity than the Midwest.

cleveland is known to have some of the nicest sburbs in the country. many , many to choose from and most with their own feel.. that said, the people/kids moving to cleveland of any color will always try to avoid a terrible school system like clevelands. coupled with the fact cleveland still has too many blighted nieghborhoods/ with high crime areas. families just dont want to be a part of that. thats why imo most people in the metro live outside city limits.

I consider myself to be from Cleveland, yet I have never lived within the city limits (east-sider...mom lived in Shaker dad lives in Gates Mills and I am currently in Cleveland Heights/Coventry) Both my mother and father were also born and raised here, yet they have never lived in actual City of Cleveland.

The everyone for themselves attitude of Cuyahoga County sets up the metro Cleveland area to fail.
I meet people all the time who say they are from Chicago when in reality they have lived in the burbs all their lives. Same with other areas. I think that may be because they feel that people will have heard of Chicago or whatever city is close to their suburban home but not the burb itself.

Exactly. I am from Anderson, Indiana, but I consider Indianapolis home and say I am originally from Indianapolis. I think most people in most major metro areas around the country do this.

Man, come on now! Anderson and Indianapolis? That's a bit of a stretch. I had a neighbor from Anderson, and he never claimed to be from Indy, he always said Anderson. That's like people in Painesville claiming to be from Cleveland. Its always funny when you meet some of these people and ask them a question about "X" city, and they can't tell you a thing. They reply with, "Well, I'm actually from "Y" which is about 30 minutes southeast of "X".

Why does the east side get more snow than the west side??? I was born and raised here and could never figure that out when, in all actuallity, both side are close to the lake......
