that clevelanders and cleveland suburbanites are so negative, especially the people that live in older suburbs or less developed areas, all they do is whine and complain about their town, even in areas that overall safe but are not all glamed up but they will scrap and save then go into debt just move into a ritzy area with people that are not their kind then their kids have trouble making friends with the other kids. I want to tell them to drop the bad attitude and try and look for the good.

Not all Clevelanders are like that.I happen to like my hometown of Euclid alot, and theres alot of people in Cleveland that aren't negative about it.And with the people who are negative about it,deep down they know they love thier hometown.Something that really unifies the people of Cleveland is sports, thats why I'd love to see one of the teams in Cleveland win a championship, and the Indians got a chance to do it to in baseball.

Not me. Currently, we are living in SW FL & I cannot wait to get back to NE OH. Many reasons why; most to do with family. People grip everywhere. Personally, I grew up on the west side of Clvd & we are moving back to the west side. Reasonably priced homes, good school district, low crime, & decent commute to work. No desire to live in the ritzier areas nor can we afford it. Not into keeping up with the Jones'. Family is all within 1 hour. That's the good life for us.

Why are Clevelanders so negative? LOL, it's always been that way.

I just posted in another thread about going to my 20th high school reunion and being amazed to see that 20-30 people who I remember making snide remarks and endlessly whining about how they could't wait to get out of town. Turns out they moved away... and then moved back.

For some strange reason, people think it's "cool" to complain about how "awful" it is. After awhile you stop taking it seriously.

your right about not keeping up with the jones, i know so many people that gripe about their town not being yuppie or ritzy enough, if u have a good life in a decent working class town where your not being shot at or your house is not being robbed and are comfortable, its like why would u want to give that up just live in a ritzy area, which are usually filled with snobs and yuppies.

people in NE Ohio dont know how good they have it; I think Metro Cleveland is probably one of the most livable areas in the country, so much diversity of towns and people and those same people that move down to florida or new york, always come crawling back here cuz they miss it.

I grew up in NE Ohio and have lived here my whole life so far. Ive visited many places (Most of Ohio, Detroit, Michigan, New York City, Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Indiana, New Jersey, Philly, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and soon to visit California.), and I like a lot of those places, but theres no place like NE Ohio. Theres not much immigration to NE Ohio so its most of the same community. When the sports teams do good the whole Cleveland area comes together like nothing ive ever seen before. When the Cavs beat Detroit to become the Eastern Conference champions, and there was more than 100,000 people just in downtown Cleveland celebrating it was one of the happiest moments of a lot of Clevelanders lives. And the NE Ohio area is so diverse, theres a huge African-American Community, and Puerto Rican Community here. If I ever move, I know Im going to move back because there really is no place like NE OHIO.

i remember being downtown when the cavs clinched the playoffs, it was after a concert and people were honking and singing and cheering, it was great and gave me a warm feeling inside.
