Where at on the Eastern side of Cleveland is a really romantic place to hang out with someone... Besides like watching the sun set over Lake Erie?

The Botanical Garden, but that's probably better when it's warmer. Outside gardens > Inside in terms of romance, IMO.

It really depends on how you're defining "hanging out". If that's inclusive of an activity, it's trickier. If it's just somewhere you can sit and linger/talk, there's any number of restaurants that would be good.

I was going to suggest Lake View Cemetery as well. I've heard that the observatory deck of the Garfield Monument is a popular spot for couples to get engaged. Either way, it has great views of the entire city.

I also think a romantic day could involve a stroll around the Shaker Lakes then heading to a restaurant at Shaker Square (Grotto Wine Bar, Sergio's Sarava, Fire, the Balaton, etc.).

I think you got what I'm saying

However, I'm going to look into all of these other places. Thanks for the suggestions!!

1. How do you define "hanging out"? A place to spend a romantic day or evening?

2. Winter or summer?

I believe than any situation, any place, any time can be romantic, depending on the people, what happens and what they're feeling. I have never, ever felt more romantic in surroundings that make me feel pressured to do so, like fancy restaurants and such. It feels contrived. I can't FEEL romantic on cue. But I know it works for some people, so I don't judge.

What do you both like? What generally helps you feel romantic?

I've always enjoyed going to downtown Chagrin Falls for some ice cream and a leisurely walk around the falls. I find this to be a romantic place normally in the summer months. There are also many places to visit within the Metro Parks (Squires Castle, North Chagrin Reservation, etc.) There are many hiking/walking paths which are quiet and offer privacy behind Squires Castle.

I would suggest all the above but did anyone include Shaker Lakes? or Chagrin falls too? Early in the morning at central Chagrin Falls would be romantic.
