Back in 1980, that might have been the case. I'm talking about the post-industrial impact which became more severe during the decade afterwards. I stopped working in the neighborhood in about '93. I had friends that lived along E. 71st right by Lansing and along E. 65th. I knew a company owner (client) along Miles right by Broadway. My cousin used to live off of Warner Rd. (Beman Ave.). By the early 90's the entire area was about the same as it is today. The better areas lie between Newburgh Heights to Broadway and from Cuyahoga Heights to Fleet Ave. It wasn't the garden spot then either.
