There is a home I am looking to purchase in South Euclid. The neighborhood looks very nice on Google Street View, but the pictures are from 2009. I am wondering if anyone has a comment on this particular neighborhood, Hinsdale Rd and the vicinity.

It's okay. The major issue you want to be aware of is they're putting in a Super Wal-Mart and some other Big Box stores just across Warrensville Center Road to the West. That's going to be a lot of traffic, congestion, etc.

The other factors you'll want to consider are commute times (there's not really any easy access to highways) and schools (which I'd say are below average to average).

Edit: Personally, if you want to stay in South Euclid, I'd look north of Mayfield, but south of Bluestone. The neighborhoods either side of Belvoir are pretty good, but perhaps a little older than average in terms of # of families. I'm less familiar with what's east of Green, but that's likely a good option as well.

2nd Edit: Of the 2 listed on realtor.com, if you're looking at the less expensive one, I'd probably just rent unless you live alone and plan to for the foreseeable future. That's going to be hard to resell. If it's the more expensive one, there's better value elsewhere unless you negotiate a decent chunk off the asking price. IMO. YMMV.

The SE-L school system is decent, the main problem being a more recent influx of low-income and/or transient students from urban areas. However when talking about the quality of education offered, particularly to average and above-average students, SE-L is solid.
