I previously started a thread asking for advice because I have a job in Parma and my husband has recently gotten a job in Chagrin Falls. Thanks for those who responded! I mentioned before that Independence was a possibility but I was having trouble finding the type of home we want. However I am going to investigate this further and see if it would be possible to find something that we're looking for in that city. What I am wondering is if anyone has experience with the demographics of this area? Do you think there are a decent amount of young families here? Is it a more mature community or are there newly started families with young children? Has anyone had experience living here and enjoyed it?
Thanks for your help...again! (also any continued insight into other areas in between such as Sagamore Hills is still appreciated!)

It's a good place to live with a fine school system. Very centralized in that you can get to the East side, West side, and downtown in no time at all. Valley View is also a nice little nearby village with a large movie theater. Very suburby but that's not a bad thing.

In terms of demographics, I think it's mostly white, middle to high income, safe, married types generally.

I own property and live in Independence part of the year. It is very central and very safe with lower than average property taxes, solid property values, great schools, and nice amenities (parks, pools, etc). The convenience of the location cannot be overlooked. Parma is close, Chagrin Falls is 20 minutes away (though a morning commute to the east side along I-480 can be a bit slow).

Thanks Cleveland_Collector! We really like the area and are hoping to find a nice home there. The only problem is it seems like it might be a little tough finding a house that suits us.. we are more drawn to open-concept homes which is the opposite of what we're seeing so far. It looks like this is available in the 315K+ homes whereas we're hoping to spend about 225K. But, of course, all of our searching has been online and not in person yet
